What is a heat pump?

A heat pump extracts renewable heat from the air or ground outside your property and transfers it indoors to heat your home and hot water. It uses considerably less energy than many traditional heating systems, making it an effective way to reduce energy consumption and carbon emissions.

Air source heat pumps

Air source heat pumps extract heat from the outside air, even during colder weather. They’re quick to install and don’t require extensive groundworks, making them suitable for many residential and commercial properties.

Ground source heat pumps

Ground source heat pumps collect heat through pipework installed beneath the ground. Although they require a greater initial investment, they provide stable, efficient performance throughout the year.
